The new year has just begun and we have been honoured by the presence of two eminent personalities, one a Star and the second, a Prince. We were amazed at how humble and down to earth they can be.
It was an evening of excitement and intrigue, the Dewan and Heir- Apparent to the Prince of Arcot Nawabzada Mohammed Asif Ali had obliged to share the folklore of the Nawabs with the Auraites. To our surprise, the Nawabzada indulged us on a virtual tour of the historic Amir Mahal palace, the residence of the family since 1876. Among the various roles and duties of the nawabs, he shared his thoughts on the importance of communal harmony in nation building.
Aura Aphrodite played perfect hosts with more fun and games. With an open invitation to a Nawabi biryani treat at the palace, we had a whale of a time planning an outdoor trip at the meeting.
